While there is significant reason to talk about people being racist or not racist, at the same time, it takes a focus away from talking about racism, this all enveloping system/structure, and reality. We are all affected, impacted, and governed by racism. Everyone, regardlessof what color our skin is. How we each act and react within this system may differ, but all of us act and react because of racism. Black people aren'texcluded from that. Yes, they do not have systemicpower, they are not the perpetratorsof exerczing that power, but their actions, reactions, everythng is a part of the total stucture odf racism. If we want to end racism, and create realequity, we haveto stop simplky trying to name the racist. In tht process, we other those not like ourselves. That othering is very much a fuel that allows racism to keep being fed. I'm not sure racism is all about power. Racism may be the systems, structures, beliefs, practices, behaviors, mindsets and thought patterns that maintain the unequal power structure.
